The Summer I Gained Weight
A sprained ankle
A major life change
Grieving the break in my NY Era
6 weeks on the road
8-14 hour days in the car
Not enough hydration
Too many restaurants
No strength training
Not enough quality sleep
Numbing some of my feelings with drinks
No consistent routines
It’s not a surprise and it’s not permanent.
It’s what happens to a 55 year old body when it’s not taken care of.
But I’m still going to wear the bikini and savor every moment my toes are in this sugar white sand.
Confidence comes from inside and I’ve still got that in spades.
